Meet your instructor at Carcavelos Beach for a two-hour lesson with warm-up, surf theory, and water practice. Gustavo, Ricardo, or Antonio may lead the class, choosing between Carcavelos and Guincho for the best conditions. Wetsuits and boards are included, and groups are capped at 10.

Meet the Salty Souls Surf School bus above Casa da Praia restaurant for a two-hour lesson at Carcavelos Beach. You will warm up, learn basic surf theory, and practice with a certified English- or Spanish-speaking coach. Small groups, wetsuits, boards, and insurance are included.

Meet Lisbon Surfaris beside Carcavelos Beach for a two-hour beginner lesson with an instructor such as Tiago, Patrick, Ivo, or PePe. You’ll learn ocean safety, wave choice, paddling, and standing up, with gear and beach transport included when needed.

Meet Lisbon Surfaris at Carcavelos for a roughly two-hour lesson with instructors such as Felipe, Marco, or Thiago. You will learn wetsuit and board basics, practice the stand-up technique on shore, then head into the waves. Beginners and intermediate surfers can join group or private sessions.
“Thiago was helpful and nice and took us through the basics and provided tips on improvement Facilities used to change in / bathrooms were small and very dirty Valuables not locked away but on a shelf by the door Supposed to be a 2h (approx) experience which we assumed might be +/- 10 minutes in the end but the lesson was only 1.5h - the waves were relatively flat but if i had known the lesson would be 30 mins shorter than expected i would have booked another school”
Meet the Carcavelos Surf School on Praia de Carcavelos for a two-hour beginner lesson with a Portuguese Surfing Federation-accredited instructor. You’ll practice your stance on sand, then try the Atlantic waves with a board, wetsuit, insurance, and personal coaching included.

Meet Ericeira Waves Surf School at Ribeira d’Ilhas for a two-hour lesson in the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve. You’ll cover safety, board technique, and standing up before about 90 minutes in the ocean. Lessons suit beginners through advanced surfers, with Ricardo among the instructors named.
